  • Friday, February 3, 2023: Global Justice met with the office of the Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Michael McCaul (R-TX) where we discussed our Initiatives in the northeast of Syria and a planned visit to the region.
  • January 20, 2023: During a roundtable discussion with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Ambassador to the U.S. Murat Mercan in New York, Global Justice hand-delivered a roadmap of 15 recommended executive steps to administer the eastern and northeastern regions in Syria, on behalf of Global Justice and Arab Democratic Alliance. A copy of this roadmap was also sent to the Syria Desk of the U.S. State Department in Washington, D.C. and the Turkish Embassy in Ankara.

  •  January 19, 2023: Global Justice attended a meeting with American Enterprise Institute (AEI) on Syria
  • January 18, 2023: Global Justice met with Syria Desk at the State Department where we discussed our Projects in Northern Syria, our strategic steps for rebuilding the region, urged against normalization, and shared our 15-step executive roadmap.
  • January 14, 2023: Global Justice Meeting on Global Justice Documentary which is set to be released in March.
  • January 5, 2023: Global Justice held a meeting to discuss our upcoming short film/documentary.
  •  December 2022: During a meeting with Türkiye Ambassador to the United States Murat Mercan in DC, Global Justice shared information about our initiatives in NE Syria and discussed ways to collaborate with Türkiye. We also discussed the current genocide taking place in Syria and the issues regarding collaboration between the PKK and SDF.
  • November 14, 2022: Global Justice attended a roundtable discussion on the Report Launch on the Legality of UN Cross-Border Aid in Syria at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. The report titled “2014 is not 2022: Why the Continuation of UN-Coordinated Cross-Border Aid into Syria Absent a UN Security Council Resolution Is Lawful,” is an in-depth exploration of the legal and humanitarian frameworks governing cross-border humanitarian access to over 4 million people in north and northwest Syria in the Syrian conflict today. The analysis was commissioned by the American Relief Coalition for Syria (ARCS) and drafted by Guernica 37 Chambers (G37).

  • November 11, 2022: Meeting with Türkiye’s Ambassador to the United States Murat Mercan and First Counselor Berk Ece in DC

  • October 27, 2022: Global Justice attended Türkiye’s National Day at the Ambassador’s Residence in Washington, DC.
  • October 25, 2022: Global Justice attended a roundtable discussion at the Middle East Institute’s Syria Program hosted by Charles Lister with three commissioners of the United Nations’ Independent, International Commission of Inquiry (COI) on Syria: Sergio Pinheiro (Chair), Hanny Megally and Lynn Welchman. The roundtable began with introductory remarks by the COI Chair Pinheiro, focused on the COI’s most recent work and on UN efforts to establish a mechanism for the missing and disappeared in Syria which was followed by an open discussion covering any and all aspects of the ongoing situation in Syria, as well as the state and likely directions of U.S. policy.

  • October 12, 2022: Global Justice attended a roundtable discussion with GhassanHitto, CEO of the Syrian Forum, and Ammar Kahf, the executive director of Omran for Strategic Studies (Atlantic Council) to discuss the prospects and challenges of economic development in northern Syria following the issuance of General License 22 and ahead of the discussion on the renewal of the United Nations cross border mandate which was addressed again in January.
  • October 5, 22: Global Justice met with a member of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s team in Ankara to discuss our work in NE Syria and the situation regarding Syrian refugees in Türkiye.
  • October 4, 2022: Global Justice met with the office of Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT)
  • October 4, 2022: Global Justice met with the office of Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR)
  • October 3, 2022: Global Justice met with the office of Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL)
  • September 30, 2022: Global Justice attended a roundtable discussion with Salem Al-Meslet, President of the Syrian National Coalition which was hosted by Qutaiba Idlibi on behalf of the Syria Project at the Rafik Hariri Center and Middle East Programs at the Atlantic Council. Discussed were the challenges of implementing a political transition amidst changing regional dynamics, the viability of the Constitutional Committee process in the context of the rising tensions with Russia, and his recent meetings with the UN Secretary General and the UN Special Envoy following his visit to the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
  • September 27, 2022: Global Justice met with Ireland’s Permanent Mission to UN
  • September 8, 2022: Global Justice met with the office of Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA-11)
  • August 29, 2022: Global Justice met with First Counsellor Berk Ece of the Tükiye Embassy in DC during which we discussed our economic and agricultural development projects in NE Syria and shared our commissioned studies.
