WASHINGTON, DC – Global Justice condemns the terrorist attack targeting civilians in Taksim Square, located in the heart of Turkey’s largest city, Istanbul, on Sunday.
“We offer our condolences and support to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish people during this difficult time,” said Global Justice Founder and President Dr. Haytham Albizem. “The Syrian people and diaspora community understand all too well the horrors of terror as they are forced to live under it on a daily basis. We are with you, Turkey.”
Officials investigating the suicide bombing believe the main suspect in the terrorist attack — a female — is a member of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party), which is listed as a terrorist organization internationally including by the the United States, Turkey, the European Union, Canada, Australia and NATO. Global Justice recognizes consistent efforts by terrorist entities to target Turkey in attempts to destabilize the nation, impede upon its development, and intimidate its citizens to achieve their own nefarious aims.
Dr. Abizem continued, “Global Justice stands by the Republic of Turkey and the neighboring Turkish people in the face of these heinous attempts of terrorism by the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and its likes, and affirms that Turkey will defeat these criminals.”
Global Justice is against terrorism in all its forms. In parallel with its political and global humanitarian work, Global Justice will continue its efforts to expose terrorist entities in Turkey, Syria and the United States, and expose those who collude with them against humanity.
